How to survive Jetlag and make it less stressful when traveling.
Every traveller knows getting to the destination is so exciting, but the whole experience can be dampened buy one sneaky thing called Jet lag!
If you have ever experienced this you understand how feeling, groggy and disoriented can ruin a trip.

It can slow down how much fun and activities you can participate in while travelling. Jetlag is daytime, fatigue, and an overall feeling of unease and stomach issues. They vary from person to person, but typically create sleeping problems, and your ability to focus is reduced.
My top tips for reducing Jetlag are trying to adjust to your anticipated time zone while still at home changing your sleep pattern by 15 minute increments daily.
Always include drinking plenty of water. Be sure to stretch and walk regularly around the cabin while travelling and don’t forget to try to sleep at the night time of your destination.
That’s not as easy as "said, and done" sometimes you might need a sleep aid, such as an herbal supplement, or a recommendation from your doctor. *Always ask a physician for advice.*
Avoid caffeine 6 hours before your intended bed time.

I recommend earplugs if they can help you sleep.
One of my nightly favorites is a White Noise app that you can simply add to your phone to help you dull any background noises in an unknown new city or location to help you get a better night sleep. Nothing ruins sleep like having a loud city train pass by or being hosted by a running elevator that's frequently used when you ry to sleep. You can ask to be placed a back corner of a hotel where it's quiet.

My last steps are to definitely ensure you are well rested and not sleep deprived before starting your trip. This can DEF this can have a major impact on your symptoms avoid a redeye flight if possible and if you’re going to sleep on the plane be strategic about doing it in accordance with your new time zone .
The first day of my vacation or a trip is always very flexible and allow lots of time for giving a day to adjust to the new time zone. Plan activities and excursions after your adjust to the new location and ENJOY!
