Residence inn by Marriot In Saratoga County

Our review of this Hotel.

Every few months we travel to Upstate New York and stay in the beautiful Saratoga County N.Y. It's renowned for its famous race track and beautiful small town shops, sights and history.

This trip we chose to stay at the Residence Inn by Marriot Hotels and the family suite was spacious and we felt so comfortable. This hotel greets you by beautiful large buildings in a cape cod style exterior centred around the main doors complete with basketball court and seating area with fire pit for guests to enjoy in evenings.

We stayed at Residence Inn and I must say that it is one of the best family-friendly hotels I have ever visited. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had actually booked a stay with another hotel and arrived to an outdated cramped, small room that didn't look at all like the photos we had seen when booking online. A quick call to Marriot saved the day and they were able to accommodate us.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with plenty of amenities that made our stay extra special. I love how they had eco aware initiatives like the full refillable size bottles in the showers reducing single use plastic waste and consumption from tiny hotel toiletries. This makes such an impact on typical travel consumerism and waste. They also offer the option to hang and dry your towels and refresh your room without a full linen change reducing laundry and water waste.

The hotel's breakfast buffet changed daily and also had a great selection of meals for both adults and kids, with plenty of healthy and delicious options. We even took some snacks to our fridge and room to have later.

What impressed us most was the hotel's suite; they had everything you would need just, like the comfort of your own home, A full fridge stove and dishwasher microwave for heating our takeout meals form local restaurants and more. Two rooms complete with multiple tv's and two bathrooms. Hand sanitizers placed throughout the hotel, and their cleaning staff followed a strict cleaning protocol like leaving us wipes for the electronics controllers and more that made us feel safe during our stay. The hotel had a wide range of activities for children, including the pool and hot tub area and a basketball court, which kept my kids entertained for hours. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening

The location of the hotel was perfect for us, as it was close to many family-friendly attractions, and the central city area made it easy for us to get around; with the local mall, target, chain and family friendly restaurants. It's located a short drive to my hometown and makes staying near family a breeze.

Overall, I highly recommend The Residence Inn for families looking for a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable stay. The staff and facilities were exceptional, and we will definitely be returning in the future. It's the perfect location and less expensive than a stay directly in the main downtown of Saratoga. It was a quiet area and driving around was easy and straightforward with all the Amenities centrally located around this busy but not crowded town. They offer fliers and pamphlets for guest to visit local attractions and be sure to ask for the staff's tips for best local restaurant. We tried the local Wheatfields and the Rusty Nail and they did not disappoint.
