What is so special about Key West? So much more than that it's famed as the home of key lime pie!

This destination offers much more, from high end art galleries to literary festivals and cool bars. With both land and sea-based activities to entertain everyone, a unique culture, and a buzzing food and beverage scene, Key West caters to all ages and interests.
Key West is a gorgeous island that is worth at least one visit! It offers the perfect tropical getaway without traveling outside the United States. The outside air feels like a warm blanket and instantly transports you to vacation mode. It has the Mile long bridge which is perfect for drone footage but be sure to adhere to flying guidelines and restrictions when in use.
The fall is the low season in Key West, and room rates can drop by 50 percent or more. The hot, storm-prone summer months also see lower prices, and you'll find decent discounts in April and May after the winter crowds thin out.

Beaches and the Southernmost point
Smathers Beach is a little more touristy. Here you will find kayak rentals, stand up paddleboard, catamarans, and just about anything you want to do.
Fort Zachary Taylor. Admission to this state park only costs a few dollars and it’s best seen in my opinion by bike. So yogurt a more intimate view and experience. Arrive early in the morning and tour the Civil War Era Fort that was critical for fighting off pirates.
If you must take your typical tourist photo, continue past the Key West Lighthouse to the Southernmost Point and wait in line to say you were exactly 90 miles from Cuba
Other fun attractions -more tourist laden: include Mallory Square Sunset Celebration
I will offer a full guide for how to stay off the beaten path, but Mallory Square in Key West a sunset celebration like no other. Talented artisans and performers shine here making foursome great photos and video moments. Get up close with sword swallowers, high-wire acts, and fire juggling unicyclers. A big wow factor for kids! Get a snack from Popcorn Joe or someone nearby and watch the entire show. Tipping is optional but appreciated.
"The iconic phrase “See you at Sunset!” has embodied the spirit and history of Key West since the nightly event took off in the late 1960s! Beginning two hours before sunset, it’s a celebration and view that has captured the love and astonishment of iconic figures from Mark Twain in the 1800s to Tennessee Williams in the late 20th century!
The Key West Sunset Celebration invites everyone to partake in watching the glowing pink and red sun sink into the Gulf of Mexico horizon. The nightly festival hosts visitors from all over the world who come to take part in the magicians, jugglers, clowns, psychics, local musicians, artists, and food vendors that combine for an incredible cultural experience. It is a fusion of friends and talents that has captivated tourists and locals alike. This nightly Key West sunset party has everything any local or guest could ever hope to stumble upon. The beauty, sheer history, and pure passion of this event have been immortalized in renowned art, stories, poetry, and photography!" (source Mallorysquare.com)

Key west doesn't disappoint. I think the feeling that you have stepped into the carribean or a tropical paradise all while being in North America is hard to beat.
