Anna Maria Island is a barrier island on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It's known for its broad beaches, like Manatee Beach Park. This small and beautiful island holds a piece of mu heart. In the small resort city of Anna Maria, Pine Avenue is lined with shops, galleries and eateries. Strict regulations govern the type of buildings and businesses allowed on Anna Maria Island, giving it an old-time feel.
A seven-mile strip of beautiful white-sand beaches lines the barrier island of Anna Maria Island between the turquoise Gulf of Mexico and peninsular Florida.
Once a best-kept secret among Floridians, Anna Maria Island has always been known for its sugar-white beach coastline, emerald green and blue Gulf waters and quaint business districts. Today, it is known as a vacation favorite among local, national and international travelers. From honeymooners to Hollywood film crews, youngsters to the young-at-heart, people from around the world have discovered what’s awaiting you – A Piece of Paradise.

I first travelled here as a child to where my grandparents lived and spent their winters. I fell in love with the quaint charm and shoreline. It's an island with something for everyone. From the great shells and sharks teeth the kids like to collect along the beach to the intimate family run restaurants withheld Florida charm.

It's a location I visit time and time again for more than my sentimental reasons of watching my grandfather play shuffle board with his neighbour's and the beach walks with my grandmother. Trips for ice cream as a happy somewhat sunburnt and barefoot child oh how sweet it was back then.
Anna Maria Island attracts people from around the world seeking an island lifestyle.
Book a trip and see for yourself the most beautiful sunsets here as well.
